HR Houston’s: HR In Your Neighborhood

Bob Scott will be the guest speaker on Reducing Unemployment Costs to Impact Profitability in this event hosted by HR Houston. The event will be on Thursday, February 25 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Payroll taxes are one of the top expenses a company encounters and these taxes are calculated based on the company’s unemployment claims experience.  The HR professional can directly impact a company’s bottom line by eliminating unnecessary unemployment expenses.  This session will explain the unemployment claims system, including recent changes in procedural requirements.  It will detail how the claims and appeals processes work and tolls will be introduced to help eliminate unnecessary unemployment costs.  Understanding the system levels the playing field in the process and helps to avoid the frustration often experienced when dealing with the state agencies.
